TV Internship

Spanglish TV is looking for 5 bright, ambitious, and talented students or film volunteers to assist in the creation of short YouTube videos and to create 30 secs commercials videos to be used for marketing purposes. If have own equipment is a plus, we are getting ourselves with all equipment need it but it’s going to take us time.
This internship or volunteer is a unique opportunity to gain professional experience creating a short-form film. We are looking for independent and creative individuals to take full responsibility for the film and of the post-production process.
Company description:
Spanglish TV is a bilingual (English, Spanish and future Portuguese) Startup Park City, Utah based that partners with very local talented women from Latin America and US, social enterprises, non-profit organizations and businesses in general to develop models that support commercial exchanges between both markets. We have 4 people already in the postproduction team.
Internship Description:
The objective will be to record between 3-7 videos per month of 3-10-minutes video following Sonia Q. Thomas directions. Recording happens one or two Saturdays/month. And Postproduction has flexible hours, but the intern will need to have access to a proper computer and video editing equipment, and be available for regular phone calls and meetings. This is an unpaid internship with the possibility of earning school credits.

Responsibilities
• Ultimately record 3 videos 3-10 minutes per month video focused on Spanglish TV’s social mission

• Create a visually stimulating presentation using graphic design.
• Prompt and reliable correspondence by email or phone.
Requirements
Strong interest in filmmaking and sustainable conservation practices
Experienced with video editing programs and film production
Direct access to film equipment and video editing programs
Strong communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of social media platforms
Ability to meet deadlines
Possess the skills to be a proactive thinker
Professional Phone and Email Etiquette
Technologically savvy
Attention to detail
Proactive self-starter
Previous experience at a similar internship a big plus!

Two Opportunities

1) The Seattle AVY program is looking for young poets to submit poems around the theme of "walls and barriers" to be used as the foundation for a collaborative animation project and has offered a cash prize for the winning submission.

2) Also, SHIFT is partnering with Spy Hop and the Utah Film Center to launch a new teen film festival and we are looking for 7-8 dynamic and talented teens to help us select films, create workshops, shape the branding and design, build audiences and plan special events.
